Looking for flat roofing in Hinckley or a nearby town? We repair flat roofs where the deck is sound and replace them with EPDM rubber or fibreglass when it isn’t: over extensions, garages, bays and porches.
“Profix Roofing team took the time to explain the process and ensured the roof was properly sealed and waterproofed. Communication was excellent, and they kept me informed every step of the way. I recently had my fiberglass roof repaired, and I’m extremely pleased with the service.”
Flat roofs, in short
If the deck underneath is sound, a leaking flat roof can often be repaired. If it’s rotten or the felt has had its day, we strip it and fit a new roof, usually EPDM rubber on a new timber deck, with new trims and gutter. You get the options and the price before any work.

Flat roof repairs in Hinckley, or a new flat roof?
Not every leaking flat roof needs replacing. If the deck is sound and the problem is in one area, a repair can do the job. When the felt is cracked all over or the boards are soft, a new roof is usually the better option, and we’ll explain why.
Our reviews include both: a fibreglass roof repaired in the Hinckley area, and old flat roofs in Coventry and Nuneaton replaced with a new deck and rubber.
How a new EPDM rubber flat roof goes on
The old covering and any rotten boards come off. A new OSB timber deck goes down. The EPDM membrane is bonded to the deck in one sheet where possible, so there are few joints, then dressed up walls and finished with edge trims into the gutter. You can see each stage in the photos on this page.

Extensions, garages, bays and porches
Most flat roofs round Hinckley, Nuneaton and Coventry are on single-storey extensions, garages, dormers, bay windows and porch canopies. Where a flat roof meets a wall, the detail at the wall matters as much as the roof itself. For leaks elsewhere, see roof leak repair; for the main roof, see roof repairs.
How flat roof prices work
Flat roofs are priced on size, the deck, the covering, the edges and access. You get the price before we start, with no obligation.
Questions
Flat roof questions
Are rubber (EPDM) flat roofs any good?
EPDM is a widely used single-ply membrane for domestic flat roofs. Laid in one sheet on a sound deck, it has very few joints for water to find. We’ll explain the options for your roof.
Can a flat roof be repaired, or does it need replacing?
If the deck is sound and the damage is local, a repair can work. If the felt has failed all over or the deck is soft, a new roof is usually the better option.
Can you put a new flat roof over the old one?
We prefer to strip the old covering so the deck can be checked and replaced where it’s rotten.
How much does a flat roof cost?
It depends on the size, the deck, the covering and access. You get the price before any work. The quote is free.
Do you do fibreglass (GRP) roofs?
Yes, our reviews include fibreglass roofs repaired and replaced.
